Acceptable Use Policy
APPTOMI is not an app store. The tools and games people make with it are not hosted, listed, or distributed by us — one you receive came from a specific person who sent it to you directly. This policy sets out what may be made and shared, and what we can and cannot do about it.
1. What APPTOMI is
APPTOMI has a set of building blocks that are part of the app: game kits, pictures, sounds, and a fixed list of phone features. You describe the tool or game you want, and an AI you choose helps you get the look and feel you have in mind by putting those blocks together. The AI can be an AI chat app you already use, or an AI provider you connect with your own key.
There is no catalogue, no directory, and no way to browse or discover tools and games other people have made. APPTOMI does not store or host them. A tool or game exists on the device that made it until its owner chooses to send it to someone else: as a file, or to a friend in APPTOMI. One sent to a friend can pass through a relay APPTOMI runs; it is encrypted so the relay can’t read it, and the relay keeps nothing.
This matters for the rest of this policy: when you receive a tool or game, it came from a specific person who sent it to you, not from us.
2. Making a tool or game
You are the author of every tool or game you make, including what an AI writes for you from your instructions. AI help does not change authorship: the request is yours, the result is yours, and you are responsible for it.
You must not make, or use APPTOMI to make, a tool or game that:
- breaks any law that applies to you or to the people who will use it;
- infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights belonging to someone else;
- harvests, exfiltrates, or transmits another person’s data without their knowledge and consent;
- deceives the people who use it about what it does — in particular about what data it reads and where that data is sent;
- is designed to harass, defraud, impersonate, or endanger anyone;
- tracks, records or watches a person without their knowledge and consent;
- tells people it can diagnose or treat a health problem, replace a doctor, or get help in an emergency;
- gives instructions for hurting yourself or others, or promotes doing so;
- takes real-money bets, or sells regulated goods such as drugs or weapons;
- is malware, spyware, or ransomware, or is built to damage, take over, or attack a phone, network, or online service, or to send spam;
- contains sexual content involving minors, content promoting terrorism or violent extremism, or content that sexualises or endangers children in any form;
- attempts to defeat, disable, or work around the permission system, the age check, the 18+ mark, the domain allowlist, or any other safeguard described in APPTOMI’s documentation.
If what you make gives health, money or legal information, or is meant to be used by other people, say clearly what it can and can’t do. Check it yourself before you rely on it or share it. The Terms of Use list what no tool or game should be relied on for.
3. Tools and games for adults (18+)
A tool or game that is not suitable for people under 18 — for example one with strong language, graphic violence, or adult themes — must be marked for adults (18+). Mark it from its menu on the home screen. The mark goes with it when you share it, and editing it does not take the mark off.
APPTOMI asks your age when you first open it, using your phone’s own age sharing where it can. Something marked 18+ opens only for people whose age check says they are 18 or older. Only someone whose age check says 18 or older can take the mark off. The age check depends on what you or your phone tell us, and it can be wrong, so it is a help and not a guarantee.
If you receive something that should be marked 18+ and isn’t, report it and choose “Not suitable for teens”. It is marked 18+ on your phone at once.
4. Sharing a tool or game
Sending someone a tool or game means giving them software you are responsible for. Before you share:
- Only share what you actually made or have the right to distribute.
- Tell the recipient what it does, especially if it asks for phone features or contacts a network service.
- Do not misrepresent its purpose, author, or origin.
- Mark it for adults (18+) if it is not suitable for people under 18.
- If someone is hurt or loses out because of something you shared, that is your responsibility, not ours.
5. Adding a tool or game someone sent you
A tool or game you receive was made by another person. APPTOMI has not reviewed it, tested it, or approved it, and cannot vouch for it. The checks APPTOMI runs are technical; passing them doesn’t mean it is safe, correct or legal. You add it at your own risk.
APPTOMI shows you what it asks for before you add it, and every sensitive phone feature — camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, files — needs your explicit, separate permission afterwards. Those safeguards limit what it can reach; they do not tell you whether its author was honest with you.
Add tools and games from people you trust, and read what each one asks for before you allow it.
6. Reporting a tool or game
If someone sends you a tool or game that breaks this policy, report it from inside APPTOMI — on its own screen, from its entry in App Management, or from its menu on the home screen — or write to support@apptomi.com.
A report identifies the exact file, so please report from the device that received it where possible.
7. What we do about reports
We read the reports we receive and decide what to do. We can’t promise to act on every report, to act within a set time, or to reach every copy. We have no duty to look for tools, games or messages that break this policy, and a tool or game not being on a list doesn’t mean it is safe.
Because APPTOMI hosts nothing, we cannot see what is on anyone’s device, and we cannot identify who made a file — tools and games carry no author identity. What we can do, where we find a report is right:
- remove it from the device that reported it, and block it from being added there again;
- put it on APPTOMI’s signed list of harmful tools and games, which removes it from phones that have it, once they download the list, and stops it being added. A changed copy counts as a different file, so it may not be caught;
- where it is not suitable for teens, put it on APPTOMI’s signed list of tools and games for adults, so it opens only for people whose age check says 18 or older;
- report unlawful content to the relevant authorities where we are required or permitted to do so.
Phones download these lists in full and check them on the phone, so we never learn which tools and games anyone has. We are not able to pre-screen tools and games, and we do not claim to. Enforcement under this policy is a response to reports, not a review process.
8. Enforcement against people
APPTOMI has no accounts and no sign-in, so we cannot suspend a user in the way a networked service can. Our enforcement operates on content: the lists above. Where conduct is unlawful, we will cooperate with law enforcement as required.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Where changes are significant, we will notify you in the app.
